Commercial Marine Case Study – Sliding seats on RIBs

Harken designed a solution using existing products which allowed the customer to reconfigure the cockpit layout quickly and easily.

The seats are mounted on four cars that run on parallel tracks. Two cars have pinstops that secure them into holes in the track. The two remaining cars are free to slide along the track.

To adjust seat location, release the two pinstops and slide the seat into the next position. The gaiting track allows the user to easily remove, adjust, or change the seating units.

These products protect against the corrosive effects of salt, dirt, and grit, ensuring efficient operation without binding.
