Lifting System for Arborists

Problem:
Devise a system so a single person on the ground can lift, lower, and lock off large tree limbs accurately and safely.

Solution:
We chose a smooth-operating winch to accomplish this task. The two-speed gearing provides a powerful mechanical advantage of 46.3:1 (lifting), so a single person can control heavy limbs safely and with precision.
