STATIC ATTACHMENTS – LONG-LASTING STRENGTH AND DURABILITY FOR ORGANIZED WORK SPACES

Harken’s experience with rope handling on yachts has led the Industrial team to develop a wide variety of durable attachment-point products – from simple eyestraps and high-strength, lightweight padeyes, to adaptable and removable solutions.

These products are ideal in isolated use or as part of larger systems and can be used as permanent or temporary attachment points, allowing operators to work safely at height. They can also be used for mounting pulleys and as lifting points with appropriate safety factors.

Static attachments designed for human suspension are EN795:2012 Class A and ANSI Z359.1 certified and meet relevant requirements according to BS7985:2009, SPRAT and IRATA guidelines.

Other attachments available include eyestraps, as well as fixed, removable, standard, and folding padeyes. View our range of equipment below and for further information, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Harken Industrial team.

Eyestraps
Eyestraps

Part No. See table below

Eyestraps

Eyestraps are useful accessories. They form light-duty mounting bases for pulleys, serve as lash-down points, and can be used for fairleads.

Forged 316 stainless eyestraps are extremely strong and their smooth shape won’t chafe line.

Folding Padeyes
Folding Padeyes

Part No. See table below

Folding padeyes keep surfaces and accesses clear. They’re ready when you need to attach something and fold safely out of the way when they are not needed.

Bolt-down bases and D-rings are 316 stainless steel. A vulcanized thermoplastic pad prevents rattling and holds the D-ring in position.

Aligning the Load on a Folding Padeye

Folding padeyes differ from conventional padeyes in that the load should be perpendicular to the hinge and bail instead of in line with it. The strongest positions are with the D-ring vertical or leaning toward the fold-down position, which focuses the load on the side anchored with two screws.

Removable Padeyes

Harken Industrial offers a variety of removable padeyes for pulleys, from the 57 mm Black Magic, to custom pulleys with maximum working loads of 23,000 kg (50,715 lb).

Bases swivel so that padeyes align to the load, preventing the reduction of the pulley’s maximum working load. This unique swivel feature is a Harken Industrial exclusive.
