Q: What conformity or certification does the Roller Sling have?

A: The Roller Sling conforms to ANSI/ASSE Z359.1-07 (22.5 kN/5,000 lb anchor), EN795 Class B (12 kN Anchor), EN354 (18 kN Connector).

Q: Can the Roller Sling be used as a connector, end-to-end?

A: Yes. The Roller Sling has been tested in a ‘basket-hang’ and ‘end-to-end’ configuration.

Q: Can the Roller Sling be used over a leading edge?

A: Yes. The Roller Sling can be used ‘end-to-end’ as a connector in a rope system. The rollers protect the wire rope and are sympathetic to pendulum motion. A suitable bypass should be rigged to allow technicians to pass the sling when working over an edge. Intermittent inspections between structure and sling at interface are recommended.

Q: What is the main benefit of the Roller Sling?

A: The roller sling provides a mobile anchorage that positions workers to the working surface and can be manually moved under load. The Roller Sling reduces effort and sometimes the equipment needed to traverse continuous structures, such as in Rope Access Aid Climbing.

Q: What is the smallest radius that the Roller Sling can handle?

A: The smallest recommended diameter for the Roller Sling is 64 mm (2.5″) Note: Tight radiuses will increase rolling resistance. To ensure safety and suitability for the task/structure, always check engagement and performance prior to use.
