Harken trolley and rail systems provide a simple low-maintenance way to move loads smoothly. Trolleys feature recirculating ball bearings housed in strong, lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum for dependable, low-friction linear travel. Use for: sliding seats in rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), window-washing apparatus, human suspension systems, hoisting and moving stage equipment, and material handling.
Harken trolleys are available in a variety of sizes and configurations. Standard trolleys come with shackles or toggles for attaching rope or pulleys, but can be ordered without.
Utility trolleys have less sculpting, and no attachments.
Trolleys come in 4 size ranges:- Micro (13 mm), Small (22 mm), Midrange (27 mm), and Big (32 mm) – see the table below for full specification details. For full details on our range of rails click here.
Torlon® vs. Delrin® ball bearings
Torlon® ball bearings are designed to cope with abrasion, dirt, and salt, and offer higher performance than Delrin® ball bearings. The balls have good elasticity so do not suffer permanent deformation until 70% of break load.
Use for 2:1 to 6:1 purchases. Control blocks let trolleys instantly adjust and release under load. Assemblies secure to the rail, eliminating additional holes.
The pinstop feature allows free movement along the rail when open. Closing it locks the trolley in position.
As the size of a trolley increases so does friction. For higher load assemblies, a coupler can be used to join two trolleys together to spread the load.

Q: Can Harken trolley and rail systems be fitted retroactively?
A. Yes. The simplicity of the systems means they can be easily installed at a later date.
Q: Are Harken trolley and rail systems able to accommodate a radius?
A: Yes. Trolley and rail systems can accommodate a radius bend. Contact Harken for information.
Q: Are Harken trolley and rail systems suitable for human suspension?
A: No. Only 27 mm and 32 mm Access Rail systems are certified. Please see Access Rail pages for further information.
Q: What other benefits are there to Harken trolley and rail systems?
A: Harken strong, lightweight trolleys and rails are specifically designed to resist the corrosive effects of an outdoor environment. Wire retaining clips and composite corner keepers hold ball bearings captive when the trolley is removed from the rail. An open-ball race makes trolleys easy to clean with soap and water.
Harken Exception - Harken Access Rail may be used for Human Suspension.
