Harken Industrial™ Set to Exhibit at Mast and Tower Safety Conference 2019

Harken Industrial™ is pleased to announce that we will exhibit at the Mast and Tower Safety (MATS) Group Conference 2019.

The event will take place on Wednesday 24 April 2019 in the UK at Coventry City’s football stadium, the Ricoh Arena.

The annual one-day conference will run from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm and is the third consecutive event hosted by the group.

What is MATS?

The Mast and Tower Safety Group is a collective of organizations that own or manage masts, towers and other structures where there are work at height and occupational radio frequency (RF) hazards.

The group provides guidance and information on safe work at height practices relating to the above structures, plus occupational RF issues with broadcast and communications equipment.

This will be the second time the event has been hosted in Coventry, following Leeds in 2018, as the conference brings the industry together to network and share ideas on improving safety standards.

MATS is aimed at companies working in the telecoms and broadcast industry, health and safety professionals, operational managers, directors, as well as those climbing masts and towers.

The Agenda for MATS 2019

The event will include the following:

  • Presentations on dropped object prevention, the importance of climber medicals, the use of derricks, climber competency, plus the role of virtual reality
  • Updates from MATS Group on its progress made since last year
  • 20+ exhibitors from the work at height and telecoms industry
  • New safety innovation pitches
  • A supplier area for attendees to view the latest equipment and services

Harken Industrial will exhibit a range of our lightweight, premium rope access and load-handling innovations, including the LokHead Winch, Riggers Winch, PowerSeat® and CE certified pulleys.

Guy Fulford, Technical Sales Engineer in the UK, commented on the upcoming conference:

“We’re extremely pleased to be involved with MATS again this year. The conference is an opportunity for us to network with the work at height and telecoms industry, as well as discuss how safety and standards can continue to improve.”

“Everyone should be able to go to work and come back home safely to their families and raising awareness of safety practices is the best way to collectively achieve this. The rope access and load-handling innovations that we provide can help make your work at height safer, easier and more efficient.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased from the Eventbrite website.
